Golf Courses

Guests of the Iberostar Bávaro and Iberostar Grand Hotel Bávaro can enjoy preferential rates and tee-times at the Iberostar Bávaro Golf Club. Opened in 2009, it is a par 72 Championship golf course designed by the famous Pete Dye, and is a short transfer away from both hotels.

Accommodation

The Iberostar Grand Hotel Bávaro is considered as the brand’s best hotel in the Dominican Republic. This Adults Only hotel offers 272 suites with 241 suites with views out onto the sea or the garden, 19 suites with direct access to the pool from their terraces, and 12 grand suites at the seaside. Each of the rooms offer two full beds or a ‘king size’ bed, Jacuzzis for two in the room; marble baths; exquisite linens, a pillow menu, as well as all standard amenities such as a coffee maker, safe box, Satellite LCD TV, DVD player, iPod/MP3 player base, Wi-Fi, etc. There is also a mini-bar which can be stocked to the client’s liking.

Restaurant & Bars

Bella Vista is the hotel’s main and buffet restaurants, offering a variety of Dominican international dishes, and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you fancy something a little more sophisticated, then head to Le Tourbillon, the French gourmet restaurant, or the Japanese Hashira. Of course, the resort would not be complete without an Italian option, so why not be tempted by La Tentazione? Last but not least, for some wonderful “surf and turf” cuisine, try El Galleon, located by a real size replica of a Spanish Galleon.

The dress code for all restaurants is smart casual, with long trousers and sleeved shirts required for men. The a la Carte restaurants require prior reservation and ask for guests to refrain from using mobile phones so as to respect the privacy of other guests.

There are also 5 bars on the property for you to enjoy a pre or post dinner drink, notably a cosy music bar located on the Spanish Galleon, serving domestic and international brands as well as premium liquor.

Spa & Leisure

The magnificent ocean front spa is a secret of true comfort with two levels and different ambiences. The centre, served by professional mental and physical stress specialists, offers couples treatments in luxurious suites, beach-side massages, and relaxing Turkish baths or hammams and Jacuzzis.

Location

The resort is located in Punta Cana. The nearest airport is Punta Cana International which is a 30-minute transfer. Direct flights are available with British Airways from Gatwick. Flight time is approximately 8.5 hours. Indirect flights are also available to La Romana (40 min) or Santo Domingo (2 hours).

This hotel offers the premier components of Iberostar’s Grand Collection with 3 pools on site which feature a swim up bar as well as an activity pool.
