    Walsall Honest and fair
The staff were welcoming and friendly.
Our visit coincided with the annual golf club dinner and even though the staff were busy with this we felt we were dealt with equally. A special mention to Mike the manager as he took time out from this busy night to come over to our table and welcome us.
The food was first class and we'll presented and the rooms while not the largest were comfortable and modern.
    A really enjoyable stay

Bearing in mind that we visited late in the season [10th November] the courses both played well and the condition of them was great. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff very friendly. There was some building work going on around the site, but nothing that impacted on our stay and the golf centre was closed [presumably as its out of season]. The food was excellent and we enjoyed a lovely 3 course meal in a private function room which was very well received by all. Definitely a venue we would return back to.

    Biddulph Somewhat disgruntled!
Nice looking upgrade but poorly carried out and poorly fitted in rooms - particularly bathrooms, with loose taps, missing seals etc. Nice thoughts to it but poorly executed. Dinner was good but breakfast disappointing - like a "greasy spoon" fry-up. Dining room will be a nightmare when busy - too open plan. Bar area now open and small bar with poor choice of beer if you like a guiness or a dark beer.
