Golf de Coutainville introduction
Founded in 1925 and located between the sea and dunes, the golf club is surrounded by rich wildlife and scenic views. It was a 9 hole links course for over 70 years but the course was extended to 18 holes in 1997 bringing the total length to 5,500 yards. Set in the heart of the coastal resort of Coutainville, the course now combines an elegant mix of links and tree lined holes. This 18-hole course is technical yet knows how to delight and challenge all profiles of golfer that take it on.
Golf de Coutainville information
18 holes, 68 par, 5492 yards. Links.
The course is divided into two parts: links and tree lined holes, the typical landscape of Normandy. This course has many challenges including a very delicate par 3 surrounded by bunkers. You also have to face water hazards including a renovated 9th hole, created in 2011, which requires precision but contributes to the aesthetics of the golf course. On days where there is a strong Westerly wind, you will have to challenge the 16th hole, with a green located at 140 meters beyond a water obstacle.
The course is well maintained, the greens are excellent and the improvements are always carried out with taste.
