Northern Ireland, Ireland
Holywood Golf Club overview
Formed in 1904, Holywood Golf Club is located high up in the Holywood hills of County Down overlooking Belfast Lough, and is known across Northern Ireland as one of its better inland courses.
The original site of Royal Belfast Golf Club, Holywood Golf Club has called this place home for over 100 years and visitors will find a very welcoming club that offers an excellent, relaxed clubhouse with restaurant and spike bar.
They also have a new Indoor Simulator Lounge with 3 Trackman bays and 2 High Definition Golf bays coupled with a unique bar and entertainment facility.
Holywood Golf Course overview
Holywood Golf Club is a short course by modern standards, measuring just 6,056 yards from the back tees. However, what this par-70 lacks in length it makes up for in tight fairways with well placed bunkering and significant undulations.
Whilst length is not important here, accuracy off the tee is essential. As well as an enjoyable round of golf with the contrasting nine’s, golfers are also rewarded with excellent vistas which are fantastic on a nice day.
Did You Know?
This is where Rory McIlroy learnt how to play golf and is the club that he would call home.
