Pinehurst No. 7, Pinehurst Golf
North Carolina, USA
Pinehurst No. 7 Course overview
The site of a former nine-hole employee course, Rees Jones utilized the land’s natural topography to create Pinehurst No. 7 in 1986. The course plays 7216 yards from the back tees, but there is a total of five tee boxes to accommodate all levels of golfers. Elevated greens are common as Jones crafted the tee boxes and greens on the high points of this hilly course.
Be wary of the 25 acres of wetlands in the lower-lying regions of the course as well as the 75 thoughtfully placed bunkers. On hole 16, be sure to avoid Jones’s trademark “Fingers” bunker guarding the front of the green on this par-3.
