Pinehurst No. 4 course overview
Pinehurst No. 4 is widely considered to be the second favorite course at Pinehurst Resort by members and guests, close behind Pinehurst No. 2. A Donald Ross original design that has seen several redesigns and restorations from the likes of Robert Trent Jones, Tom Fazio and Gil Hanse since its opening in 1919, Pinehurst No. 4 embodies Carolina Sandhill golf, perfectly combining the natural topography and sandscapes to create a beautiful and challenging course. The 7227-yard par-72 layout is generally wide open to the eye but features prominent waste bunkers throughout.
