Pinehurst No. 9
Jack Nicklaus added his touch to the resort with Pinehurst No. 9, a 7118-yard par-72 course that features classic Nicklaus elements: open fairways and undulating greens.
Pinehurst No. 7
Pinehurst No. 7 was designed by Rees Jones and was built on hilly terrain with 75 sand bunkers, elevated greens, and wetlands in the low-lying areas.

Pinehurst No. 6
Pinehurst No. 6, opened in 1979, features more elevation changes than the first five courses at Pinehurst Resort and rewards longer drives and requires aggressive approach shots to score well.
Pinehurst No. 5
Pinehurst No. 5 was designed in 1961 by Donald Ross’ apprentice and Pinehurst native Ellis Maples, who designed the course to integrate with the natural landscape of the Sandhills.
Pinehurst No. 8
Tom Fazio designed Pinehurst No. 8 as part of Pinehurst Resort’s 100th-anniversary celebration. This course combines elements of all the others into one layout to provide a unique and enjoyable round.
Pinehurst No. 2
This Donald Ross design opened in 1907 but was continuously improved upon until his death in 1948. As one of the world’s most recognized courses, Pinehurst No. 2 is one of the greatest tests of golf.
Pinehurst No. 3
The shortest course at Pinehurst Resort at just 5155 yards, the par-68 Pinehurst No. 3 features tiny crowned greens to test a golfer’s accuracy and distance control.
Pinehurst No. 1
