The Rookery at Marco overview
Carved out of the Florida wetlands, The Rookery at Marco opened in 1991 and has seen a few redesigns since then, constantly improving the layout and conditions. The course is seamlessly integrated into the natural terrain of the area, and golfers will enjoy the sights of native greenery and wildlife, including alligators, bald eagles, blue heron, and numerous other species of water birds.
The course itself features wide fairways and generously sized greens. However, water is abundant, and the bunkers are strategically placed, waiting to catch any wayward shot. The layout measures over 7100 yards from the back tees but offers a total of seven sets of tees to ensure golfers of all handicaps can enjoy a round at this challenging yet scenic course.
