The New Course
at The San Roque Club
Sotogrande, Spain
Overview
Contrasting to its sister course, the Old Course, the newest 18-hole edition to the resort has been made with both amateurs and professionals in mind, as there are five different tee positions on every hole. Measuring in at 6577 yards, this stunning parkland course played host to the Spanish Open in 2006 and was designed by the renowned American, Perry Dye in collaboration with Severiano Ballesteros. With wider fairways than The Old Course, there is more room for error, but you'll only be rewarded if you use canny tactics and skilful positioning.
This course has everything necessary to become an elite European golf course due to its high technical quality, picturesque layout and spectacular finish. There is no nearby construction around it and it provides a fantastic challenge for all levels of golfer.

"Has hosted the Spanish open. Very good but not quite as good as the old course. Quite hilly with great views. Much cheaper than the old course too."
