Formerly known as Southfield Golf Club, Oxford Golf Club was designed by legendary architect Harry Colt in 1922. Featuring undulating parkland terrain, mature trees, simply beautiful scenery and an abundance of wildlife, Oxford Golf Club is held in high regard.
Dating back as far as 1873, Oxford is one of the oldest golf clubs in England. The course has been influenced by two of the all-time great golfing architects, James Braid and Harry Colt, with the latter attributed with the current day layout. Built primarily on sand, the course drains extremely well and visitors will finda course that is playable all year round due to excellent maintenance and draining.
