Pinehurst No. 1

A Tom Fazio course that opened in 2005 and aimed at giving anyone a member-for-the-day experience. This is truly a great addition to what is an exceptional golf resort.
No. 7 Course
Rees Jones built Pinehurst No. 7 in 1986, on the site of an abandoned nine-hole employee course, and it is set on some of Pinehurst Resort's most dramatic undulating terrain.
No. 6 Course
Tom Fazio and his uncle George, a famed designer in his own right, began work on No. 6 in 1975. The result was a more rugged, undulating track that demands bigger drives and more aggressive approaches.
No. 5 Course
No. 5 was designed in 1961 by Ellis Maples, a protégé of Donald Ross, and part of North Carolina’s first family of golf course design and construction.
No. 4 Course
The amazing Pinehurst No. 4 was significantly redesigned by Tom Fazio in conjunction with the 1999 U.S. Open to provide a great test to both pros and visiting golfers.
No. 3 Course
No. 3 is the shortest course at Pinehurst at just 5,155-yards and recently renovated to provide a fun round of Ross’s original designs and characteristics through a classic layout.
No. 2 Course
Opened in 1907, No. 2 was designed by Donald Ross, who called it “the fairest test of championship golf I have ever designed.” Ross was associated with the course for nearly a half-century, improving the course continually until his death in 1948.
Pinehurst No. 9 is a beautiful 7,118-yard layout, meticulously designed by the Golden Bear himself, Jack Nicklaus. The golfing legend came to Pinehurst with the motivation to preserve the great golfing traditions and resort's history with his design.
