The nearest golf course to the Chateau is the championship golf course designed by Fred Hawtree, Golf d’Anjou. However, within 35 minute’s drive you can also reach the magnificent Golf de Sables-Solesme and Golf d’Avrille.
The luxury Chateau des Briottieres is located right in the heart of the Loire Valley within its own 50 hectare English park. The 15th century Chateau has 17 gorgeous bedrooms all individually styled of which 11 are in the main chateau and 6 in the guesthouse ‘Le Fruitier’.
Restaurant & Bars
The restaurant is a superb table d’hôte where the ingredients have been sourced locally and the menu derives from Traditional French recipes following a family twist. All the tables are candlelit and with some relaxing background music, this helps provide the intimate atmosphere you come to expect.
Spa & Leisure
Guests can enjoy the open air heated swimming pool as well as the tennis courts, bikes to ride through the park and even horse riding. Amongst all these distractions, it will be difficult to pull yourself away to play golf.
Chateau des Briottieres is located in Champigne, 35 minutes from Angers and 3 hours from Paris.
Although, you really should, as there are some fantastic golf courses within 35/40 minutes drive. Just 5 minutes away is the Golf d’Anjou, a championship golf course designed by Fred Hawtree. Long but easy walking, you can expect a friendly welcome here. The Golf de Sables-Solesmes is about 40 minutes drive and has hosted the European Challenge Tour, so another good test of golf.
As well as great golf in the Loire Valley and excellent outdoor activities at the Chateau, this region in France also has plenty of other things to see and do. Take a trip to the many vineyards in the area and get stuck in to a bit of wine tasting. There are plenty of tours around nearby historic cities and pretty villages for those looking to learn about the local histories or to just admire the wonderful sites. There are also plenty of walking and boating excursions to further explore this beautiful region.
