Seacroft Golf Club
Seacroft Golf Club overview
Originally founded in 1895, Seacroft Golf Club offers a traditional links layout that weaves in and out of natural sand dunes. The club provides picturesque views over the distant Norfolk coastline and the challenge of the course is evident throughout. The golf club also provides a great set of facilities which includes a practice area, putting greens and on-site tuition if needed.
Golf Course at Seacroft Golf Club
Accurate driving is a necessity during a round at Seacroft Golf Club, which is not always easy with the coastal winds. The opening 9-holes occupies lower ground with tight out of bounds often threatening on the right hand side of the fairway. Look out for 8th and 9th, two very challenging holes and certainly two of the most memorable on the course.
The closing 9 tends to be located on higher, more open ground. Although it appears more open this is only because of acres of threatening gorse which line the fairways. The par-three 12th and the par-five 13th are two the most memorable and difficult on the course. A par on both of these holes will feel like a birdie. Overall Seacroft is a superb links course and is often voted within the top 100 courses in the country. A round here will not be quickly forgotten.
