Baberton Golf Club
Baberton Golf Course overview
Baberton Golf Club was founded in 1893 and the parkland course was initially laid out by Willie Park Jnr. and later reconstructed by James Braid. The undulating terrain provides for spectacular views of the Pentland Hills to the South, the Grampian Mountains to the North, and Edinburgh Castle to the East. Located just 20 minutes South West of Edinburgh City Centre, Baberton offers the perfect course to play alongside discovering the city of Edinburgh.
Golf Course at Baberton Golf Club
Although Baberton Golf Club isn’t renowned for its length, there are many tricky and interesting holes on this course. The USGA standard greens at Baberton are superb, with deceiving undulations and a true roll on each putt. This golf course is renowned for its tight fairways and demand for an accurate tee shot, so you have to play the percentage golf to score well. There are also a number of par-3’s that are over 200 yards, where par is a great score, especially if the Westerly wind picks up.
