Copt Heath Golf Club
Golf Club Overview
Harry Vardon and Harry Colt designed this classic parkland layout which dates back to 1907. Considered to be one of the finer courses in West Midlands, Copt Heath has hosted numerous amateur events, which is a testament to Vardy and Colts design. The club itself is a very welcoming environment with a friendly atmosphere and large clubhouse to enjoy a pint or two after your round.
One of the main contributions Colt provided to Copt Heath was the 101 bunkers which are dotted throughout the course. Combine this with water and trees, and Copt Heath provides an apt challenge to the regular golfer. The 6th hole in particular requires an accurate drive between a tight tree lined fairway, then followed by a large pot bunker which protects the boundaries of the green. This and the par three 13th are two great holes to savour.
