A growing European golf destination…

Golf in Austria doesn’t have the same historic value you may find in some of continental Europe’s other big-hitters, however what you will find is an array of fantastic top-notch courses at a fraction of what it may cost you to go elsewhere. What makes Austria golf so good is not just the low prices to get away to this beautiful region, but also the immaculate open fairways, beautiful weather and great condition the courses are kept in.

An example of one of Austria’s best is the Diamond Country Club and its signature Diamond Course. A previous host of the European Tour’s Austria Open, the course was upgraded in 2009 and really demonstrates a good level of challenge for golfers of all abilities. Visually this course is one of the best in Europe offering golfers stunning views and panoramas to take in whilst they tackle this wonderful course.

Why play golf in Austria?

Although Austria often isn’t the first thought for golfers wanting a quick escape to Europe’s immaculate fairways, it is a destination which is rightfully receiving glowing reviews for its unique and striking landscapes which lend themselves perfectly to the creation of some outstanding golf courses.

Notable courses in Austria include the incredible European Tour venue Diamond Country Club near Atzenbrugg.
