    Eléa Golf Club Details

    Eléa Golf Club

    18 holes, 72 par, 6889 yards. Parkland.

The Eléa golf course was designed by 6 time major champion Sir Nick Faldo and since its opening in October 2010, it has become one of the "must play" golf courses in the Mediterranean. The golf course was placed in the top 10 new international courses in 2010 by Golf Magazine (USA) one of the world’s biggest-selling golf journals, and is recognized by Golf World Magazine as ‘one of the world’s most exciting new golf courses’. The 5* clubhouse overlooks the stunning golf course layout and with one of golf’s greats behind the design it is an exciting part of the golf development that is making South West Cyprus a great golfing destination. A combination of teeing areas means the course length can be varied from 5,700yards to 6,900 yards for men and 5,100 yards for ladies. With numerous bunkers guarding both the fairways and greens and large run off areas catching a mis-guided approach this is a great challenge for all. The layout makes its way among the natural elements of Carob trees and weathered limestone and offers fantastic views of the Mediterranean from all parts of the course.

Elea is a course that is easy to walk. The 18 fairways are compact. Nice view over the water. Excellent condition.

    Nuremberg World wide extensively travelled
The tees, fairways and greens were all excellent. The bunkers had taken on a lot of water after a huge downpour on Friday and were GUR for our round on Sunday.
That´s disappointing - there was no water in them - they just had not been repaired/raked.

Proshop staff and bag drop staff very polite, efficient and helpful.

We reserved a table to have dinner in the restaurant after our round on Sunday - approx. 4.30.
The staff were surly - clearly did not want to be there at that time of day. And the food was very poor. My guys ordered burgers cooked medium. All 7 came like a piece of leather. The chips served with the burgers were raw in the middle - inedible.

I would definitely never dine there again.

My fifth visit to Elea. As ever, staff friendly and courteous. I did notice a slightly increased length of time to complete a round, but as ever the course was in very good condition given the rain at the time of year. I even managed to get out of the few bunkers I found with only one shot😀
