Very outdated accommodation. Window had to be jammed open. Bedroom geberally was very outdated and not cleaned very well. There was a used tissue in the bedside cabinet. Bathroom again was very outdated. Extract fan was like a jet engine starting up. Minor decorating issues such as black sealant, pull cord for light was snapped and just tied together.
Strangely disjointed restaurant with a very unusual member of staff serving us. Food was good quality but didnt lend itself to golfers who just wanted something to eat after a day of golf, although the rest of the Inn is clearly aimed at that market. After the meal we had a pint in the bar area where we we were served by a man who was again quite 'quirky' and clearly the friend/partner of the waitress who was now changed and waiting for us to finish up so they could go home. The barman eased his waiting by having what can only be described as a 'herbal' cigarette outside and dragging the smoke back in with him from outside.
Breakfast offering was poor. Quality was poor and service again quite quirky.
On leaving there was a team of cleaners going about their work with dirty laundry in a pile right outside our room.
Downstairs one of the ladies cleaning tables outside was dressed in the most inappropriate see through leggings showing off her bright red thong as she was bending over the outside tables to clean them. One of the more outstanding features was the owner who felt the need to tell us he was the owner and how much he objected to sharing tips with the staff especially when it may have been him who had opened one of his much loved £4000 bottles of wine for his weathy Japananese guests.
    Very uncomfortable conversations
