The hotel was fine with a good bar and big room but their were two very annoying points:
1: We were on a very good D, B & B rate but we could not (this was made very clear by staff member) pay extra and choose food from the "main menu". There were seven of us and I estimate that cost the hotel 200 plus euros minimum in lost sales - madness.
2: We wanted a cheeseboard but we were advised that there was not a cheese option on any of the menus except room service. So.... we could not have a cheeseboard in the restaurant but if we went to our rooms we could order cheese and bring it down to the bar - speechless but actually quite hilarious.
For these reasons we would not stay at The Clarion again.
