Thailand is a life-changing place to visit rich in culture and with something for everyone. We are often asked by our customers, what are the best golf courses in Thailand?

With tuk-tuks, massages, kick-boxing and epic nightlife, Thailand’s golfing prowess is perhaps lesser-known. But with a heritage dating back to the 1920s, the popular South-East Asian country is home to some spectacular layouts that have played host to European Tour events. We have handpicked a selection of the best golf courses in Thailand to make your decision on where to play a little easier.

Black Mountain Golf Club

As its name suggests, the layout lies within a mountain valley with creeks weaving in and out ready to swoop up any astray golf shot. Despite only being 10 years old, Black Mountain has already hosted both European and Asian Tour events. The experience here is very unique with wildlife strolling the fairways alongside you.

Old Course, Siam Country Club

The Old Course at Siam Country Club has hosted the Thailand Open and annually welcomes the Honda LPGA Thai Tournament. Most holes surround a lily-covered creek with water featuring between the 15th and 17th, with those three holes bearing reminiscence of Augusta’s Amen Corner. The Old Course is easily one of the best golf courses in Thailand.

Banyan Golf Club

Banyan is a very playable layout with plenty of water and sand traps. It’s the type of course that is not too tough for high handicappers but will still provide a challenge for the more seasoned golfer. The Singtoh Island is also in sight on the Par 3, 15th with panoramic views of a stereotypically beautiful Thai island. Banyan is long, accessible and thoroughly enjoyable.

Just like its namesake in Scotland, the layout is impressive with the signature hole being the Par 6, 16th measuring a whopping 910 yards. Taming the beast of St Andrews will require a lot of power and accuracy but I'd be sure to bring enough golf balls!
