We loved Anahita. We chose to stay there as not too big or too small and so we could play 2 golf courses whilst enjoying a relaxing and romantic break. We stayed in a junior suite overlooking the relaxation pool (adults only) which was more than ample for us. It takes a few minutes to walk to the main facilities or take the regular buggy service. The staff were fantastic from the moment we arrived. The Mauritian people are legendary for their kindness and hospitality but it comes so naturally and effortless to them, making you feel special. Even the management team including the general manager made the effort to speak to us. The food is amazing, real 5 star +. The buffet is not the usual 'mass' food buffet and the chefs cook fresh while you wait. Often live bands play in the Vue Bar and all were really good. Drinks are more expensive than normal home prices but not excessive as some may suggest (pint of beer 325MUR, Cocktails 450/475MUR) and not in comparison to prices at other 5 star resorts, although wine is very expensive but again similar to other 5 star resorts elsewhere in world where wine has to be imported. There are good facilities for children and many families stay in the prestige suites - so even though the beginning of our holiday was during school holidays, we hardly noticed them. Overall the hotel provides a relaxing and intimate experience, even when busy. Can't recommend enough.
