    Things to see & do

Place du Moulin: former sugar factory at the heart of the domain, fully restored in the Creole style of this site, offers visitors small local shops and also a centre for events and "incentive" meetings

Trevessa: a stone memorial dedicated to the survivors of the Trevessa Shipwreck in 1923

Le Batelage: the Batelage site is what remains of the old port

Jacotet Bay: Jacotet Bay is the historical naval site that saw the first english offensive to take Mauritius from the French

The old mill: a relic of the past, the Frederica chimney appears majestically amongst the surrounding lush landscape reminding us of Domaine de Bel Ombre's rich history

    Hull Honest and truthfull.
Superior garden room not what was expected, toilet and shower/washing facility separate, the toilet room was rather small, especially if you are a lager person, could prove difficult to carry out your cleaning activity. Room did not have a chair to relax in, however 1 was provided on request.
Food was repetitive, however good quality and wholesome. The staff were fantastic very friendly and helpful.
Communication regarding taking your partner for company (who did not play golf) to the golf course on the transfer vehicle, the resort stated no, she would have to travel independently by taxi, whilst the golf club stated there was no problem, had no problem of her accompany me as it turned out and she did share the buggy.
Excellent resort for the Ile Aux Cerfs golf club, very nice course in pleasant surroundings and picturesque, a good challenge, for the average handicapped golfer take plenty of golf balls. When booking we understood concessionary golf was offered at the Anahita Golf resort, on arrival this had since been removed, with the help of the golfbreaks on resort representative arrangements were made to play the Anahita course, with a good reduction on the golf fees. However the experience of the golf course was disappointing and bland, with plenty of building construction in progress and noisy.
