Dinner at Steam, Bake and Grill was awful. We ate at 8.30pm and many items were finished and not being replenished despite the restaurant not closing till 10.pm. Food was tired and very tough. Hardly any cheese on the cheeseboard. Breakfast in the Mansion House Maple Room was ok though. Staff looked as if they wanted to be elsewhere and were reactive rather than proactive. Bar prices for alcohol were very expensive. £17.50 for 2.5 beers and a cider!! Bedrooms had no aircon and no lifts to the 2nd floor. It would take something special to get us back there.
