St. Boswells, Melrose, Scottish Borders
The Buccleuch is a charming privately owned country hotel with just 19 en suite bedrooms in the village of St Boswells near Melrose. The hotel has been through extensive refurbishment over recent years and in the winter and spring of 2006/2007 all guest bedrooms have been completely refurbished. The hotel boasts a lively bar serving meals all day as well as teas, coffees and freshly baked scones. Food plays a very important part of the business whether it's breakfast, morning coffee, a relaxing bar meal in the Huntsman's lounge or Blue Room restaurant. There are log fires and river walks if you have nothing else to do, but most people stay here for golfing, shooting, fishing and racing, but also to relax and unwind.
