Accommodation

Located on the stunning southwest coast of Ireland, a mere 45 minutes from Shannon Airport, The Lodge at Doonbeg Golf Club combines a spectacular seaside location, unique residential-style accommodation, an acclaimed links course, fine dining, a renowned spa, and unparalleled service to make it Ireland’s luxury links destination.

A distinct departure from traditional hotel offerings, Doonbeg’s suites and cottages feature hand-picked furniture, antiques, and art, which lend a unique and residential feel. Our accommodations are meant to serve as our guests’ home away from home, offering all the amenities one would expect, and more.

Configured with 1 - 4 bedrooms, each suite and cottage features an en suite marble bathroom for each bedroom, a living room with fireplace, and a fully equipped kitchen. The Suites are located in and adjacent to the Lodge building, with views of the ocean, river and countryside, or courtyard. The Links Cottages, located a short walk away along the 17th fairway, are Doonbeg’s most spacious accommodation - perfect for groups of golfers, offering added privacy and views of the spectacular 17th fairway and surrounding countryside.

Guests of the Lodge also enjoy Doonbeg’s exceptional cuisine, and may choose a fabulous dining experience in The Long Room or a more casual evening with pints and music in Darby’s pub. James Beard Award winner Tom Colicchio, well known for his New York restaurants Gramercy Tavern and Craft, lent his distinctive style to Doonbeg’s offerings, which showcase fresh, local ingredients. Not to be missed is White Horses Spa, which offers signature treatments using natural, indigenous ingredients. Guests may avail of the deep-soaking whirlpools, steam room, sauna, and the fitness centre which offers an array of high-tech equipment.

Doonbeg Golf Club (Doonbeg Golf Club)

Since it first opened for play in July 2002, Doonbeg’s Greg Norman-designed course has been garnering praise from golfers and golf writers around the world for its stunning beauty and superb design. In a relatively short space of time it has joined the “must play” list of classic Irish links courses, beginning with its designation as Golf Digest’s “Best New International Course, 2002.” Set along 1.5 miles of crescent-shaped beach, Doonbeg allows views of the ocean from the green, fairway, or tee from 16 of the 18 holes. As Norman himself put it, “Nothing on this earth compares to Doonbeg.”
