A great venue to stay and play links golf. The hotel has recently undergone a major refurbishment and offers a good standard of accommodation and food selection. The golf course was well maintained and offered a good challenge of links golf. All staff were polite and attentive. I would definitely return to Portmanock and would without hesitation recommend this hotel for a golf break.

Hotel on many different levels but signage to rooms is poor. We had a room on the ground floor with no view, clean and with a good shower. The food in the 1780 restaurant was good but two of our party of six had stomach issues overnight. The service overall is slow and none of the bars overlook the golf course, which is a design fault surely!
Nice hotel but needs to do a lot more to impress as far as service is concerned.
