The hotel is fairly basic but in lovely surroundings. The bicycles available to use were grotty - mine had no front brakes. The pool area was very busy and many of the lockers were faulty and the hammam decided to pack in whilst we were there. In addition the golf range was closed - no balls!!
The food in the Linden Tree restaurant was quite good but other available food (to 9p.m.) was very limited. Needed to book the restaurant otherwise forced to eat very late.

    Dublin Authentic reviews always!
2 very nice and challenging golf courses here at Carton House and both in really good condition. However, we had 2 older players in our group and due to the fact that golf buggies were not permitted on the course this made it a really tough exercise for them. No exception was catered for even though the course was very dry and would have accepted a buggy with no ill effects on the course.
The lack of food options was also an inconvenience with early closing times and limited numbers accepted in the restaurant which meant we had to get a taxi to nearby Maynooth to eat. Upon finishing the golf on Monday afternoon we were informed that the golf Coach House restaurant was not open.
