Golf at Handsworth Golf Club
Handsworth Golf Club was established in 1895, with a superb golf course created by legendary designer Harry Colt. Just like any Colt design, Handsworth Golf Course provides a sincere challenge to golfers of all standards. The on-site facilities at the club are extensive and include nearly 9 acres of practice grounds, notably a large putting green and a separate chipping area.
Handsworth Golf Club
18 holes, 70 par, 6325 yards. Parkland.
Handsworth is well thought of for having great playable conditions all year round following a large investment in course maintenance over the last three years. The course has fairways which are, for the most part, undulating and tree lined, and the greens tend to run fast and true. Furthermore, there a 70 well-positioned lying in wait to trap the more naive golfers.
The course environment is very picturesque, with beautiful trees on the lower parts of the course and the Staffordshire horizon from some of the high points. All in all, Handsworth is an extremely enjoyable parkland – perfect for your Birmingham golf tour.
