Millennium

The refurbished holes were joined up with a new 9 holes. In this area of the course the fairways are narrower which needs greater accuracy. The par three 6th is a wonderful short hole with a lake waiting for any stray shots that comes its way. The Millennium Course can challenge even the most experienced golfers and can make for a thrilling experience; the arrival of this course has caused Vilamoura to become one of the main golfing destinations in Europe.

The beautiful Laguna is a great course to visit while you stay at the Holiday Inn Algarve

Laguna

18 holes, 72 par, 6707 yards. Links.

Designed by Joseph Lee, the course was opened in 1990. The course has been redesigned and developed ever since, keeping up with today’s modern golfer. The Laguna Course in Vilamoura is very different to what you will find with Oceanico Golf;he coastal location and lack of trees makes the course look a feel like a typical links track. The course is known for the strategically placed water hazards that have been generously placed and coming into play on no less than 11 holes. Be sure to avoid the water, but try not to hit the staggering 79 bunkers.

Sharing the same facilities as the Millennium course, the driving range and putting area will be sure to help you prepare for the game ahead. After your round, why not sample the fantastic Clubhouse; the bar has a fantastic selection of beverages, as well as a restaurant that will be sure to whet the appetite.

The Old Course

18 holes, 73 par, 6839 yards. Parkland / Woodland.

The holes are laid out through a pine forest, it is not necessarily for the longer hitters but if you keep your ball in play, you will score well here. A very attractive golf course with a variety of different holes.

The central location makes it easy to reach Vilamoura marina and Faro Airport. However the fantastic scenery that this beautiful golf course has to offer is one of the main attractions. The superb clubhouse overlooks the 9th and 18th holes, so you can enjoy a drink or two while watching your friends complete their round.

Oceanico Pinhal Golf Course

Pinhal

18 holes, 72 par, 6726 yards. Woodland.

Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr, Pinhal Golf Course is a perfect test for all abilities with tempting green positions for the more accurate of golfers. Measuring in at 6,353 metres, Pinhal is spectacularly beautiful and tests the strength of your drive; the rolling parkland-like terrain makes it a real challenge to play this course strategically, especially with the large amount of hazards.

The recently refurbished Clubhouse has been designed to fit in with today’s modern golfer. The fantastic bar is stocked has a beautiful terrace, and is perfect for letting the afternoon drift away after your round.

The O'Connor Course

18 holes, 72 par, 6708 yards. Parkland.

Opened in October 2008 by the Oceanico Group to complement the Faldo Course, the O'Connor Course is lined within the Orange groves that run through a valley full of streams and water hazards that make this course so interesting for any golfer. Standing at 6900 yards with the self proclaimed 'amen' corner awaiting, it is now one of the must play courses on the Algarve.

The Faldo Course

18 holes, 72 par, 7258 yards. Parkland / Inland.

The Faldo course is a modern twist of a traditional recipe, with the heather, lush woodland and sandy tracts of Sunningdale being replaced by cacti, wild herbs, holm oaks, ancient olive trees and desert scrub bunkers of crushed limestone. This is a golf course that revels in the classic principles of strategic play. Designer Nick Faldo said "The real skill is that when you stand on the tee, the golf hole tells you what to do, and if you do what it tells you there is reward but if you don’t you’re penalized”. Who are we to argue!
