Available courses

14th Green

Brechin Golf Course

18 holes, 70 par, 6116 yards. Parkland.

This relatively flat course has stunning views of the Grampian Hills to provide a perfect backdrop to your round. The quality of the greens has greatly improved in the last few years, making this a fine test for any golfer. James Braid was the course architect, like so many in the area, which always provides you with a thought-provoking round.

Championship Course

18 holes, 72 par, 6941 yards. Links.

The Championship Course has been the host to the Open six times. This fantastic golf course has been voted the top golf course in Scotland by many of the golfing greats and has been described as the regions ultimate golfing challenge. The 1999 Open captured the public’s imagination as some of the game’s greatest players floundered. Jean van de Velde’s disastrous last hole will always be remembered when he let slip a three stroke lead to lose to Paul Lawrie in the play off. Although a tough golf course, it will provide you with a terrific golfing experience.

Burnside Course

18 holes, 68 par, 6020 yards. Links.

The Burnside Golf Course is slightly shorter than the Championship Golf Course yet it is full of character and provides a great introduction to the exciting world of links golf. Watch out for the 17th which has proven to be one of the hardest par 4’s.

Buddon Course

18 holes, 66 par, 5400 yards. Links.

The Buddon Links Golf Course was opened in 1979 and has now been extensively remodelled to make it more enjoyable for the average golfer, although some of the holes are quite tough and would not be out of place on the Championship Golf Course.

18th Green and Clubhouse

Edzell Old Course

18 holes, 71 par, 6348 yards. Parkland.

Accuracy is the key with this layout, as out of bounds threatens on several holes. Placement on the fairway is also key, as the testing greens can catch out even the lowest handicapper if you end up above the hole. The course is renowned for its high maintenance and provides an enjoyable round to all who play.

West Water Course

9 holes, 32 par, 4114 yards. Parkland.

This picturesque nine hole course is an ideal warm up before stepping on to the signature track and is a good start for any beginners wanting to test themselves.

Kirriemuir

18 holes, 68 par, 5510 yards. Heathland.

This entertaining layout was designed by the renowned James Braid and encapsulates the surrounding landscape beautifully. It features some testing holes that require golfers to use their head more than their brawn. The final two holes provide the biggest challenge, as the 17th is a par 3 guarded by two majestic trees on either side, while the 18th has a large tree blocking the right half of the fairway and a large bunkered gully protecting the green.
