The legendary James Braid laid out the 18 hole, 6,281 yard heathland course in 1922, yet the quality of his design is as evident today as then, and continues to offer endless variety and extraordinary challenges to golfers at all levels. The Sunday Telegraph Golfing Guide has been moved to describe the classic terrain as "reminiscent of the inland glories of Sunningdale and Woodhall Spa" - and that is high praise indeed!
