The Vale Resort is situated in over 650 acres of beautiful Welsh countryside and has now established itself as one of the UK’s most desirable golfing destinations. It has also recently become the highest 4* rated hotel in Wales and has been awarded an AA rosette for its Vale Grill restaurant.
Room Information
The resort was once part of the Hensol Castle estate which was a 17th century stately home but is now a 143 bedroom hotel of a 4* rating. The majority of the rooms offer superb views over the surrounding countryside along with comfortable furnishings and en suite bathrooms. The Vale has been designed so that it maximises the comfort and convenience of every type of golfer.
Restaurant
There is a wonderful range of dining options at The Vale Resort including classic favourites from the Vale Grill to home cooked delights in the Golf Clubhouse. If you are looking for something extra special you can treat yourself to some of the very best champagnes or finest cocktails in the Salamanza Champagne Bar before your meal.
Leisure and Spa
As well as the great facilities and golf courses, the Vale Resort owns one of Wales’ largest spa’s with 19 therapy rooms which offer an extensive range of indulging treatments. This spa is a great place for golfers and non golfers to relax and get pampered in a wonderful peaceful setting. Residents also have use of the first class leisure facilities that include a 20m pool, fitness studio, squash courts, tennis courts and a large state of the art gymnasium.

Being just 15 minutes from Cardiff you’re never short for things to do. There is great night life and shopping facilities, along with the picturesque Norwegian Church, where Roald Dahl was christened and the UK’s leading science discovery centre ‘Techniquest’.
