North Foreland Golf Club

North Foreland Golf Course is a wonderfully mature golf course which combines a testing round of golf with breathtaking views of the sea and surrounding coastal area. The golf course is over 100 years old and has incredible views over the English Channel. Founded in 1903, North Foreland Golf Club is steeped in history. Originally a 9 hole golf course, it was carefully made into an 18 hole golf course by Fowler and Simpson in 1912. The 18 hole golf course has a variation of holes, comprising of four par 3’s, three par 5’s and eleven par 4 holes. There is a fantastic feel of space on this golf course, with rolling cliff top terrain and a sea view from every hole. The golf course is made into a challenging round with the use of cleverly placed bunkers and open fairways meaning that the wind comes into play on many holes.

The Clubhouse at North Foreland Golf Club is a modern space with friendly and inviting staff. There are top quality changing facilities along with a comfortable lounge bar and restaurant. There is also a well stocked pro shop selling a range of top quality golf clothes and equipment.

This golf course was designed with the intention that all calibres of golfer would be able to play this course. The abundance of woodland and wildlife make accuracy a more prominent element to your round, so stay level-headed and take your time with your swing. The greens are always in immaculate condition and are pretty quick, adding to the difficulty.

The golf club is a Final Qualifying venue for the 2011 Open which adds to the extensive list of renowned golfing events that Littlestone Golf Club has played host to. You really are in for a treat when you play this charming golf course with its fast, well manicured greens and classic links layout.

The golf course blends naturally into its beautiful surroundings and its challenging layout is not a traditional one as each nine is broadly circular, a loose figure of eight.Golfers playing on Royal St George’s require confidence and an accurate, solid ball strike so not to get stuck in any sticky situations. The golf course has plenty of hazards, one of which is on the 4th and is the UK’s tallest and deepest bunker. Some hazards are also invisible from the tees, which tend to cause a few problems. This is an incredibly popular golf course and it is easy to see why. The brilliant challenge that golfers are faced with makes for a truly memorable round of golf.

The Royal St George’s golf club features a great range of practice facilities, including an open air driving range, pitching area, practice nets and putting greens with bunkers. This fantastic golf course is another of our products that is regularly listed as one of the top 100 golf courses for England and Ireland. It has hosted the Open Championship and is an Open Qualifying golf course for the British Open in 2011. Each of the three loops of nine offers challenges in their own right. In particular, look out for the 1st hole on the Dunes golf course which is probably the most difficult out of all 27 holes at Princes Golf Club, with the south-westerly wind coming into play. Relax in the centrally located clubhouse which offers the ideal place to relax with a cool, refreshing beverage. Enjoy magnificent views over the golf course and the surroundings of Pegwell Bay as you enjoy a bite to eat in the restaurant which seats up to 200 diners.
