History, tradition & great golf await

An area steeped in history and tradition, Suffolk boasts a glorious coastline, warm coastal climate which means it’s an ideal year-round destination for a golf break. The county maintains a good rivalry with Norfolk and as a result, the courses here are equally as good as those found in Norfolk, if not better depending on who you ask. Every golfer should consider a Suffolk golf break.

Where to stay in Suffolk

A Suffolk golf break is one that has become increasingly sought after, and for good reason. There are some fantastic hotels and resorts on offer in the region. We recommend the Ufford Park Hotel Golf & Spa 3*. Set in 120 acres of historical parkland amongst the picturesque Suffolk countryside, it is the perfect country retreat, yet conveniently located less than one mile from the A12. The modern hotel has 90 en-suite bedrooms, many of which have balconies overlooking the superb Ufford Park Golf Course. The Golfers Lodge is perfect for groups of up to 12, offering great accommodation in a social environment.

An excellent alternative, Thorpeness Hotel and Golf Club provides golfers with a classic James Braid golf course and excellent 3* hospitality, both of which combine to produce a memorable stay and play golf break in Suffolk. Idyllically located on the beautiful Suffolk Heritage Coast, Thorpeness Golf Hotel offers a great standard of 3* accommodation, picturesque views, and modern amenities. Overlooking the 3rd hole, the hotel’s main restaurant is a favourite spot among golfers.
