- I wouldn't call Sueno golf a 5* hotel. Cornelia Diamond, for one, is much better. This view is based mostly on the service in the dining rooms and around the bars. Too few staff at main meal times mean looking around for a clean table while your food cools further. Though we enjoyed the food, too much of buffet food gets cold in the containers. Moreover, can anyone in Europe produce eggs 'over easy' while you wait at breakfast.
The waitresses, though charming, would spend far too much time talking amongst themselves, rather than circulating the sitting out areas and ensuring guests had all the drinks they wanted.
My main gripe is about all inclusive holidays. All inclusive to me means just what it says. I don't like arriving on holiday to find that parts of the operation are not inclusive. With Sueno Golf it was the Birdie Bar, the ideal rest stop at the end of your round, but which was excluded from the all inclusive tariff. I wanted something light and freshly cooked at the end of the round, not another visit to the buffet bar in the main dining room. Not an unreasonable request, in our view.
Overall, the staff were very polite, personable and helpful. The food was good, but not great. The accommodation was good. The golf set up was good and we enjoyed the challenge of The Pines (Dunes closed for maintenance). The beach and food at the beach were both good.
