Louth Regular Holidays to Turkey
- When we arrived we got checked in staff pleasant enough. But when we got to the room we were located right next to the elevator where people in the elevator could see into our bedroom and when you are sat on the balcony. The view from the balcony was a brick wall. Went down stairs asked to be moved, nothing could be done until the morning which was fine but requested for the beds to be pushed together to make a double. Had to wait over an hour and a half and had to go downstairs two more times for someone to come and fix the problem. Various calls to reception and still nothing. Eventually they came to sort the beds at 2.am. Wasn't the best start to my holiday. Next day the room was changed after a slight argument was the reception staff. Moved to another room again we had trouble getting them to put the bed together but we were happy enough with the room. Very disappointed with the hotel staff, not friendly, not happy to help you, slamming drinks down on tables basically not the kind of service you would expect in a 5* hotel and nothing like the standard of service I have received in Turkey on previous occasions. The A La Carte food was dreadful from the 3 which we tried, Italian, Chinese and Fish restaurant. The buffet food was generally ok but again would have expected slightly more. Overall the hotel was very nice to look at but lacked the little touches of what made the Maxx Royal or the Regnum Carya stand out. The staff were not overly friendly with the odd exception and the disaster with the rooms and the hotels unwillingness to try and sort this disappointed me. Would defiantly not stay there again.
