- There was good and bad:
Good value for money - dinner, bed and breakfast with two rounds of golf.
Hotel was modern and contemporary with good décor.
Complimentary teas and coffees in the main hotel reception and golf clubhouse (excellent idea!).
The bedrooms were clean and quite spacious with an additional occasional table and comfy chair.
Large comfortable bed with 2 pillows each and 4 additional scatter cushions! Very useful if you like to prop yourself up to watch TV.
Tea and coffee making facilities with proper mugs not tiddly cups.
Proper folding ironing board with steam iron stored in wardrobe.
Hairdryer that worked pretty well and which wasn't fixed to the wall!
Pitiful shower that had no pressure to it.
No bathmat for outside bath/shower, had to use a towel on the floor.
No luggage rack to store a suitcase on.
Not enough hangers in the wardrobe.
Not enough plug sockets on desk/dressing table for phone chargers etc. had to move furniture around to use ones at floor level.
Exorbitant prices charged in the bar for drinks!! (more than usual hotel bar prices!)
Spa and leisure facilities were not within the hotel itself, they were part of the golf clubhouse, so there was either a long walk outside in the open, or short drive to get to them.
Didn't like the idea of golfers being able to stare straight in through the pool windows as they walked past to get back to the clubhouse or car park! Very much a goldfish bowl approach!
