The Springs Golf Club hotel information
Just an hour from central London, The Springs Hotel and Golf Club is nestled deep within the picturesque Oxfordshire countryside. Constructed in 1874 and overlooking a spring fed lake it's an excellent example of a Victorian Tudor-style country house. The uniquely English atmosphere of the oak panelled reception halls is continued throughout the hotel. Many of the 32 well-equipped en-suite bedrooms have balconies with views over the lake and in every facet, the Springs manages to retain those traditional values associated with the great country houses of England. The award winning Lakeside Restaurant overlooks the spring fed lake. There is also good food in the less formal atmosphere of the clubhouse. Relaxation away from the golf course includes a croquet lawn, course fishing on the banks of the River Thames and an outdoor swimming pool open in the summer.
Our view of The Springs Golf Club
With a testing course and recently renovated clubhouse The Springs is an excellent choice. It also only 12 mins drive from Henley the orginal home of Brakspear Bitter!

We stayed here over the first weekend of October. When we left they locked the doors of the hotel as it was closing down !
The hotel is tired and in need of a huge investment.
