Golf courses
Slaley Hall golf resort is the proud home of two fantastic championship standard golf courses. The Hunting and the Priestman golf courses complement one another wonderfully, and make the perfect duo for an interesting golf break that challenges your golfing ability.
De Vere Slaley Hall has two golf courses in the Hunting and the Priestman. Both are of Championship standard and maintained to a very high level by the course staff. Another attraction of Slaley Hall is that it boasts hosting the annual PGA European Tour, showing that’s it has the quality of a top English golfing resort.
Hunting (De Vere Slaley Hall)
Considered by many as the ‘Number One’ course at Slaley Hall, the Hunting golf course is kept in fantastic condition, and at over 6,500-yards off the yellow tees, the big hitters will have a slight advantage around this track.
The fairways roll beautifully through the surrounding moorland of the region, which may distract you from your game at times. Focus is important though, as the strategically placed bunkers, lakes and streams make shot selection important, not to mention the need for care around the Hunting Course’s greens which are of USGA standard, making the golf course thoroughly enjoyable, but equally challenging.

Priestman (De Vere Slaley Hall)
Slaley Hall’s Priestman golf course is a delightful round in its own right. Despite only being opened in 1999, the golf course has matured well, to the extent of already holding European Tour events, thanks to its great design and the course maintenance that keeps it in top condition.
The course layout is slightly more open and shorter than the Hunting course making it suitable for players of all levels, but the undulating fairways, lakes, streams and numerous strategically placed bunkers make the golf course a challenge that even the most advanced golfers will enjoy.

Slaley Hall Hotel is an old Edwardian Mansion set in 1,000 acres of Northumberland moorland and forest. With 142 elegant bedrooms that fit seamlessly into the historical building itself, there’s more than just two championship standard golf courses to keep guests occupied at Slaley Hall.
Other facilities include a fully stocked gym, a sauna, Jacuzzi, swimming pool and a wealth of health and beauty treatments.
Available for an evening meal is either the Claret Jug clubhouse restaurant for a light meal or the Duke’s Grill for a fine dining experience serving the best local produce.
