De Vere Slaley Hall is a superb English golfing venue with two fantastic golf courses. The Hunting and the Priestman are both of championship standards and have been maintained to a very high level by the course staff. De Vere Slaley Hall can also boast about being host to the annual PGA European tour.
Hunting
18 holes, 72 par, 7088 yardsOut of the two golf courses at Slaley Hall, the Hunting course is considered by many as being the number 1 course. Always kept in supreme condition the fairways roll beautifully through the surrounding moorland of the region. So not to be distracted from the outstanding views, good focus is important throughout.
All well as the views, there are many strategically placed bunkers, lakes and streams which make shot selection an important factor. Although a challenging golf course it is thoroughly enjoyable and all who play it will have a superb game.
Priestman
18 holes, 72 par, 6951 yards. Parkland. The Priestman course at De Vere Slaley Hall is a delightful round in its own right. Despite only being opened in 1999, the golf course has matured well and has already held European Tour events. The golf course has a great design and layout and is always in top condition. The Priestman course is slightly shorter than the Hunting making it suitable for players of all levels, however even the most advanced players will be challenged by the undulating fairways, lakes, streams and the numerous amounts of bunkers.
