Restaurant
There is a large restaurant on the first floor, with panoramic views of the Marina from the large glass windows. A varied menu of traditional dishes to modern cuisine is served here, and some of the ingredients are locally sourced, adding to the authentic Kentish feel of the place. The bar serves traditional Kentish ales and a good wine list with bottles from as far as New Zealand.
There is a waterfront seating area where you can grab a quick bite to eat or take in the fresh sea air – perfect for a spot of lunch on a sunny day.
Things to see and do
Chatham is a lovely part of the Kentish coastline with lots to do. The Marina is the star attraction, set on the River Medway; a shopping centre is nearby as well as some good places to eat. There is also a water activities centre if you are a thrill-seeker. Kingswear Castle is close to the Dockyard and has coal-powered Paddle Steamer dating back to 1924. It’s a great day out as you relax and glide along the river, with friendly staff, good food and plenty of seating. If you are travelling as a family Dickens World is a theme park that is perfect for small children. There are rides, 4d shows and the friendly and animated staff ensure you will have a great day out.
