The San Roque Old Course
18 holes, 72 par, 7099 yards. Parkland. This long golf course was originally designed by Dave Thomas but has since had the bunkers redesigned by the legendary Seve Ballesteros. It played host to the Spanish Open in 2005 and was voted the number 10 golf course in Spain by Golf Digest Magazine. Its main features are tight, sloping fairways that demand straight, accurate driving to achieve a low score. Bunkers have been strategically placed and deceptive water hazards also threaten, but those who gamble may just get the rewards they were looking for.
The San Roque New Course
18 holes, 72 par, 7244 yards. Parkland. The newest edition to the resort has been made with both amateurs and professionals in mind, as there are five different tee positions on every hole. It played host to the Spanish Open in 2006 and was designed by the renowned American, Perry Dye. With wider fairways than The Old Course there is more room for error, but you'll only be rewarded if you use canny tactics and skilful positioning.
