- Things you need to know for your budget.
Buggies are expensive @ 18€ per person.
There are no electric trollies for hire only push @ 10€
You have to hire a buggie to play the New Course.
If you are used to using an electric trolley on your own course you are unlikely to be able to walk and push on the Old Course. Some steep pulls and some long walks between holes.
Unless you get the spa included the charge is 15 € per visit. So no nice zacuzzi after a hard days golf.
The hotel is comfortable. The pools are not heated sufficiently in January. A wide choice of food at breakfast and dinner. However dinner is self service which we didn't like very much. Powdered milk in the room - fresh milk cost 3€. No fridge only a dispenser to purchase cans and water. It is not possible to get a sandwich or the like after 5.00pm if you come of the golf course hungry. Most rounds took 4 1/2 and 5 hours.
The hotel is isolated a free shuttle takes you to Maspolomas several times a day but last transfer leaves the hotel at 6.00 and last return to the hotel at 6.30. Taxis are good easy to find and quite reasonable.
There is little to do in the evenings - one bar which was nice and had some music, but not always seating available.
The staff are very friendly and well trained - interested in making your stay as good as possible.
