Designed by Harry Colt (who added it to his list of other stunning masterpieces - Sunningdale, Wentworth, Le Touquet La Mer et al) and created in a superb landscape of hawthorn hedges, pines, silver birch and poplar trees, the Zoute fairways seem to navigate between waves of dunes: a setting that cannot leave anyone unmoved. Royal Zoute was described by Nick Faldo as a “hidden gem” and many other distinguished players have played the links, including Henry Cotton and Arnold Palmer. It has also hosted the Belgium Open on many occasions.
Royal Zoute - Championship
18 holes, 72 par, 6790 yards. Links. The Championship Course (known as "l'Extérieur") has a reputation for being selective, particularly in high winds. Greens are well contoured and ingeniously defended by strategically placed bunkers.
Royal Zoute - Executive Course
18 holes, 64 par, 3931 yards. Links. The Executive Course (known as “l'Intérieur”) has a much shorter warm-up or practice layout. This course extends down the fairways of its championship sister layout and shares essentially the same splendid natural environment and climatic conditions.
