Travelling aboard restored Edwardian coaches, the Rovos Rail journeys between Pretoria and Sun City, taking in championship golf courses, game viewing at Hluhluwe National Park and even a visit to one of the world's most intriguing and beautiful kingdoms, Swaziland.

Golf Courses

We can incorporate a range of different courses on your travels, with the various 8, 9 & 10-night packages offering you a tailor-made service with endless possibilities. Some of the sensational golf courses you can play include Durban Country Club, Gary Player Golf & Country Club and Leopard Creek, all considered to be within South Africa’s top 5 layouts, as well as Fancourt Hotel and Golf Estate with three Gary Player designed golf courses, Champagne Golf Course and the Ernie Els designed Oubaai Golf Course.

Accommodation

There are two types of suites on the train - Deluxe Suites and Royal Suites.

Deluxe Suites measure 11 square metres and have been re-built from wood-panelled sleeper coaches and transform from a relaxing lounge by day to a comfortable bed at night. All Deluxe Suites have a sitting area, private safe, ensuite bathroom and a fully stocked mini bar.

Royal Suites measure 16 square metres and are the most spacious rail cabins in the world. Features include twin or double beds, brass reading lamps, a sitting lounge with two armchairs, personal safe, double wardrobe and ample storage space. The ensuite bathroom features a Victorian claw-foot bathtub, separate shower and heated towel rails to complete your private sanctuary.

Location

The journeys we offer include direct flights into Johannesburg where you will be met by a tour coordinator and taken to Pretoria to board the luxury 5* train.

Depending on the journey you choose, you will cover destinations such as Pilansberg Game Reserve, Durban, Kruger Park, George & Cape Town.
