Clubhouse

Falcons Fire

18 holes, 72 par, 6901 yards. Parkland.

Recently renovated and in better condition than ever, Falcons Fire golf club is one of the premier public golf courses in Orlando. A Rees-Jones design and stretching to almost 7,000 yards, it is extremely playable and fun, with the greens now in great condition following the renovation, making the putting quick, but fair. Falcons Fire also offers all the extras you would want, with GPS buggies, complementary valet parking and complementary club cleaning. You can also enjoy a refreshing post-round meal and drink in the Falcons Nest restaurant which overlooks the 18th green.

greens and fairways in great condition

Celebration

18 holes, 72 par, 7028 yards. Parkland.

Designed by the duo of Robert Trent-Jones Jr and Snr, this Championship standard golf course is laid out amongst many lakes, oak, pine and magnolia trees which all come into play throughout the round. It has a very tranquil feel and a beautiful clubhouse, set in the idyllic village of Celebration, and a driving range complete with Island greens to aim at - alone worth a trip to the course. Since being extended in 2009 the course is around 7,000 yards from the tips, but take our word for it, you may want to play from a little further forward, with 4 sets of tees offering you that option.

Hawks Landing

18 holes, 71 par, 6602 yards. Parkland.

Located at Marriott's Orlando World Centre Resort Complex, Hawk's Landing Golf Course sweeps around the hotel, and the lakes surrounding the hotel (water comes into play on 15 of the 18 holes). The golf course is very easy on the eye, and a little shorter than some of its neighbours at just 6,600 yards, but do not be fooled, when redesigning the golf course in 1999, Robert.E.Cupp III made sure it was extremely memorable, and certainly not the easiest. As you would expect the customer service at the golf course is what they pride themselves on, you get a GPS buggy and as many range balls as you like, thrown into the green fee.

Grande Pines Golf course hole 5

Grande Pines

18 holes, 72 par, 7012 yards. Parkland with lakes.

One of the tougher golf courses in Orlando, a design thought up between Smyers and Faldo has created one of the best examples of "target-golf" around, and one that will test any standard of golfer. Run by Marriott, the course prides itself on customer service and the staff will do anything to help. The clubhouse also houses a fantastic sports bar for that post-round drink. The undulating greens are surrounded by bunkers, and protected with plenty of pine trees and oak trees, making each hole individual and interesting.

long wide fairway

Disney's Lake Buena Vista

18 holes, 72 par, 6749 yards. Woodland.

Lake Buena Vista is located amongst the holiday villas and homes at Disney World. It is fine example of a resort golf course, and is probably the easiest of the 4 golf courses available at Disney. It is still a thoroughly enjoyable round of golf however, you will find yourself teeing off over canals and playing with views of a lighthouse. As you would expect, it is kept in immaculate condition all year round. We say play it off the back tees, which at 6,800 yards, will certainly be a test of golf. You can really save on some money if you tee off after 10.00 in the morning - call for details.
