    Portmarnock Old Golf Club introduction

Over the last 120 years The Portmarnock Old Course has matured into one of the finest establishments Ireland has to offer. Traditionally laid out in two loops of nine like all the best classic links courses, Portmarnock offers nothing but quality from start to finish. You just have to glance at Portmarnock to know that nature intended this course to be something special.

    Portmarnock Old Golf Club information

    18 holes, 72 par, 7182 yards. Links.

Traditionally laid out in two loops of nine like all the best classic links courses, Portmarnock is a real handful and one that shouldn’t be underestimated. Measuring at over 7,000 yards, whilst also being heavily affected by the wind you'll need you’re a game to play well here. The greens at Portmarnock are some of the best in Ireland - not only are they fast and kept in great condition, but they are also true and that is a rare virtue. With all these qualities and more it's easy to see why the Old Course finds itself in the top 30 courses in the British Isles year after year.

Disappointed with the actual course although a couple of the party thought the lay out was good. I was expecting more given the standing of the course but it perhaps benefits from its history. people service brilliant
