18 holes, 72 par, 6490 yards. Links-style Parkland.This wonderful golf club hosts one of the UK's best golf courses to have opened since the turn of the century. Its architect, Adrian Stiff, has taken aspects from all types of golfing test, from American-style tournament holes to classic links traits. A layout for all types of golfer, there are seven sets of tees with the back ones stretching the golf course to over 7,600 yards making it the longest in Great Britain! It is rich in natural features with woodland, lakes, trees and gorse coming into play as well man-made ones, especially the trademark railway sleepers - over 4,000 of which have been used in its construction. One of the most striking characteristics about the layout is its maturity for a golf course of such young years. Amongst a plethora of great holes, the 4th is probably the signature: a double carry over a huge lake make a four here a score you'll remember for a good long time. Many of the impressive short holes are fronted by water and the par 5s are monsters from the back tees yet more than manageable from the front. The state-of-the-art irrigation system keeps the golf course in great condition all year round.

The Kendleshire
18 holes, 70 par, 6507 yards. Parkland with lakes.
Designed by Adrian Stiff, The Kendleshire's original 18 holes opened for play in 1997 to widespread acclaim. Then, in 2002, Peter McEvoy added a further nine holes offering golfers increased variety. Whichever combination you play, the course provides an excellent challenge with water a prominent feature on all three nines. Listed by Golf World in 1998 as one of the top ten new courses in the British Isles, the longest combination of nines gives a 6,507 yard, par 70 layout. The Kendleshire is renowned for its high quality greens and a number of spectacular holes including the short 11th which features an island green.
