    Guildford A modest old guy!
We hoped for a special stay at Oubaai, but were very disappointed. The service was very variable, but I would not blame the front-line staff who appeared to be enthusiastic and helpful.
There were several instances of responses that were good, but there were just as many that would have been judged to be poor at a modest establishment, let alone an up-market facility. I would single out dinner as an area where the time to serve courses by waitresses who appeared to be very busy was awful; an hour and a half for main courses to arrive in a moderate-sized restaurant was inexcusable. I have problems, still unresolved after returning home, with my travel money card. To cap it all, we found that both of us 'lost' fairly valuable items, whose absence were not discovered until we were on the way to the airport. A sad end to an enjoyable holiday!
