La Quinta

18 holes, 72 par, 7266 yards. Parkland.

The golf course at La Quinta Golf & Country Club is truly superb. Designed by Manuel Pinero (three times World Champion and winner of the Ryder Cup) and Antonio Garcia Garrido, La Quinta has been implemented around three 9 hole golf courses, each permitting various combinations for playing 18 holes. This golf course is very adaptable so is well suited to all standards of golfer. Although a seemingly straightforward golf course, there are deep bunkers and sloping fairways which create some difficulty and this course does require accuracy and stamina.

El Paraiso

18 holes, 71 par, 6702 yards. Parkland.

Designed by the legendary Gary Player, this is one of the most established courses on the coast. Opened in 1973, this layout is very easy on the eye and features lush fairways flanked by palm trees and meandering streams to create an exciting challenge for all levels of golfer. Its signature hole is the 6th, a dogleg left par 5 that incorporates fairway bunkers, lakes and a two-tiered green to test even the lowest handicapper.

Rio Real

18 holes, 72 par, 6741 yards. Parkland.

Rio Real Golf Course is situated in a beautiful valley between the Mediterranean Sea and mountains. Rio Real Provides a testing round of golf for levels of golfer. The front nine holes are quite tight and are lined by mature trees and as you enter the back nine another variety of challenging features will be present. The greens are elevated and formidable bunkers are strategically placed. The most spectacular holes are the 4th and 5th which are located on the sea shore with outstanding views of the Mediterranean.

Flamingos Golf Club

18 holes, 71 par, 6285 yards. Parkland with lakes.

The Flamingos golf club was designed by the renowned architect Antonio Garcia Garrido. It was the first golf course to be built at the Flamingos resort and has already played host to the European Tour Seniors Match play. The golf course has perfectly placed elevated tees which offer beautiful views of the Mediterranean, Africa and Gibraltar. This course has been lovingly designed and crafted in a Tuscan style. Each hole features its own type of tree, including pines, olives, cypresses and chestnuts. On some of the fairways you will even find roman columns, statues and marble bridges. To add to the spectacular design of this golf course, it winds its way around the many lakes and the Arroyo Del Taraje stream which comes into play on the 1st and 10th holes in particular. For many, the highlight is the charming 10th with a huge undulating green fiercely protected by bunkers and lake.

Alferini Golf Club

18 holes, 73 par, 7260 yards. Parkland / Inland.

The Alferini Golf Club used to be known as Gran Flamingo Golf Club. It is a fantastic addition to the Flamingos Golf Resort and was also designed by the brilliant Antonio Garcia Garrido. This 18 hole par 73 golf course was opened in November 2007. The layout has been described as being rather technical with long fairways and wide greens. There are 5 starting platforms on each tee, so although a testing course, all abilities get a fair chance. Like the other golf courses situated on the Flamingos resort this one also has breathtaking views. Set in a valley, this course is surrounded by mountains and is isolated from any buildings and noise. There are 2 lakes that feature around this golf course and a surrounding stream comes into play on most of the holes.
